We were drawn to Matthew's work through an exhibition announcement in Visual Art Source in 2009. Matthew is an incredibly gracious artist with an inner peace that is mesmerizing. Matthew's studio was at Angels Gate CulturalCenter back then. When we delivered the crate with the painting by the previous artists. Alison Van Pelt, we found Matthew's studio full the most wonderful paintings many of which were images of home. Home can mean many things and I see it in his contribution as well. His painting is imbedded with pure pigment and is like a magnet when you enter the museum.
Circle of Truth Project is a VISUAL game of "Telephone" That was played by 49 artists in absolute secrecy over a period of 9 years.
